One thing I have always taken great pride in is in the fact that I have built everything from the ground up. My music, my music videos, my promotions, commercials, and even this very website was done by me and me alone. Did it take alot of work? Definitely. It took tons of time, work, and patience. But if there is one thing about me, it’s that I like to do things on my own time, my own pace, and most importantly, my own way. If you all only knew how many times someone looked at me funny or tried to tell me it couldn’t be done by myself and that I needed someone’s help or the money to succeed. Now, it would be really easy to succomb to their opinions and just follow the pathway they suggested, but I don’t operate like that. In my world, ANYTHING can be accomplished if you really want to do it and are motivated to put the work in to get it done. The real question you have to ask yourself is: “How bad do you REALLY want it?” If you really want it that bad, then the effort you put in won’t feel like work at all. Starting from scratch with making my own music, there was alot of trial and error, reading, and researching to find out how to make a mini studio for a fraction of what a real one would actually cost. None of it actually felt like work at all because of how bad I really wanted to do it. I was motivated and inspired to succeed. Same thing with this very website. I REALLY wanted to create a website and I had a vision for how I wanted it to be done. But did I want to pay all of that money to have someone else build it and also rely on them to update it or rely on them to have the time to help me when I needed help with it? Nope. So what did I do? I read online and did my research on how to build a website, how to update it and add what I wanted to add to it. Like I said, I had a vision on how I wanted it to look and it was created exactly how I wanted it to be created… by myself. Of course, with doing all of this by myself, the success or failure of what I set out to accomplish falls solely on my shoulders. And I like it that way. There is no one else to blame or take credit, but me. It motivates me. It drives and pushes me.
You’re probably reading this like “cool story, bro. If I were into that kind of thing I would probably try it as well by myself.” But the thing is, you can really do ANYTHING by yourself. Have you always wanted to write a book? Start a business? Make a popular YouTube channel? Create something cool? Display your artwork? You can. The only question you have to ask yourself is “How bad do you REALLY want to make it happen?” If you have the drive and motivation… That “hunger”, you can do it. Do your research and use your creativity. Do NOT let anyone tell you how “dumb” your idea is or how you “can’t” do it because the only one that can hold you back from your accomplishments is “you”. The fear of failure is definitely a scary thought but the fear of letting success pass you by because you decided not to try is even scarier. I’ve seen alot of talented people over the course of my life sit back and watch their opportunities pass them by because they were worried about failure. In this world, there is an audience for everyone and if you don’t take the opportunity and try, you’ll never be able to reach out to that audience who just might be interested in your artwork, comedy, ideas, reviews, music, etc. The talent is there, you just have to unlock it and let it shine.
